Le Terroir
Champagne H.BLIN is made from grapes grown on exceptional soil and under unique conditions, using techniques and an ethos handed down from generation to generation. Our vines are grown on chalky clay soils with ideal exposure (south-southeast), allowing the grapes to grow and ripen slowly and completely.
For many years, we have been committed to sustainable viticulture practices which help protect the earth (and have since been awarded the sustainable VDC label for almost 70% of our vineyards).
Several hectares have already been awarded the Organic label by Veritas, with the total Organic surface area reaching almost 12 hectares in 2023/2024. These are planted with the 3 main champagne grape varieties, plus a plot of Petit Meslier, an ancient variety.
Champagne H. BLIN is known for its strong identity and pride in our local variety, Pinot Meunier, with its unique characteristics that make it a grape like no other.
Champagne H. BLIN offers a true reflection of our land, producing terroir champagnes made with grapes solely grown on our own vineyards.
Several of our cuvees are single varietal 100% Pinot Meunier.
